Double Cup When Rooting Fig Cuttings

While winterizing a friend’s fig tree, I pruned several suckers with established roots. I separated and immediately processed them upon returning home to prevent the roots from drying out.
For each cutting, I used two same-sized plastic cups, poking holes in one and placing it inside the other to catch excess water. After adding potting soil and ensuring the cutting’s roots were buried, I covered each cup with a thin plastic bag to simulate a greenhouse. I’ve been rooting cuttings for years, but this time I was particularly lucky, getting about 15 cuttings with already formed roots; now I just have to wait for the leaves to grow.
