The Fig Workshop took place on March 1st, 2025, at the Senior Center of the Woodbury Public Library in New York. A special shoutout to the Library’s Adult Services Librarian for coming up with the brilliant workshop title: “Fig-ure It Out: Mastering the Art of Growing Fig Trees.” What a genius idea!

The energy in the room was fantastic, with participants asking insightful questions that made the workshop truly exciting and interactive. As a special takeaway, each attendee received a fig cutting, and I’m thrilled to share that I already have proof—some of these cuttings have been up-potted! Cool beans!

Seeing this picture filled me with joy. This little figgy is on its way to becoming a strong, thriving tree, destined to bear delicious fruit for years to come.
